KIIT University

KIIT History

Established in 1992, KIIT started as a vocational training center with just two staff members and 12 students. It wasn’t until 1997 that the institution took shape, initiating degree engineering programs. Founded by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, KIIT’s inception was fueled by a visionary outlook despite challenges such as minimal funds (Rs. 5000/-), no land, and limited knowledge of higher education. Over time, KIIT has evolved into a premier university with a robust interdisciplinary ethos and a dedication to exceptional teaching.
